The Mid-America Science Museum (MASM) is located on 21 scenic wooded acres in Hot Springs, Arkansas. It offers interactive science exhibits that explore such subjects as perception, energy, life, sound, matter, light and gravity. MASM is a receiver of Star Station One, an international space station sponsored by NASA. It promotes a practical learning approach through demonstrations programs and workshops. The museum also trains teachers in applying space education to science and math. The permanent collections include a Caged Lightning-Tesla Coil (1.5 Million Volts), Van de Graaff generator, Night Crawler and hot-air balloon. There is a laser light show that features hundreds of electrifying laser light patterns dancing to popular songs.
