Started in 1967, Anoka Technical College is committed to providing the best education using the latest technology. It is a member of the Minnesota State College and Universities (MnSCU) system. The institution provides quality technical and general education for employment, workforce development, and lifelong learning through partnerships with business, industry, and the community. Accredited by the Commission of Institutions of Higher Education and North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, the institution offers nearly 30 certificate, diploma, and Associate of Applied Science degree career majors in eight Centers of Excellence including Business and Office, and Design and Manufacturing. The courses are designed to meet career area educational needs. In addition, it offers Customized Training and Continuing Education Courses. Training services are provided in Emergency Medical Services, First Aid and CPR, EMT and First Responder, and Fire/Rescue. The Computer Learning Lab, through Flex-Time education, offers credit classes. The Library Media Center at the campus includes print materials - books, recreational paperbacks, newspapers, magazines, and pamphlets; and non-print materials - e-books, online databases (periodicals and encyclopedias), DVDs, video tapes, slide/tapes, audio tapes, and models-that are related to college curriculum and student interests. Scholarships and grants are offered.
