Stockton Metropolitan Airport

Stockton Metropolitan Airport is located 11 miles north of Manteca, on the southern boundary of Stockton, California. It lies between two major north-south thoroughfares - I-5, 1.5 miles to the west, and State Highway 99, which borders the airport on the east side. The airport serves the current and future commercial, corporate business, and general aviation needs of San Joaquin County. Stockton Metropolitan Airport is Northern California’s low cost logistics hub and boasts one of the longest runways in the region. Set on 1449 acres of land, the airport has an 8,650-foot long, 150-foot wide primary ILS runway, with a take-off distance available of 11,037 feet. It also has a 4,458-foot long, 75-foot wide general aviation runway. The full-service general aviation and commercial travel facility of Stockton Metropolitan Airport features top-of-the-line air cargo capabilities. Passenger service began in 2001 with America West Airlines. The Airmetro Business Park is at the main entrance of the airport. The 44,355-square-foot terminal building adjoins six air carrier gates. Inside the main terminal entrance is the Top Flight Cafe and Catering Company, which contains a patio and lounge for the passengers as well as visitors, and the Sky Room lounge. The building also has an Enterprise Rent-A-Car counter. Stockton Metropolitan Airport also has hangars in varying sizes, many with electrical outlets and interior lighting. The airport provides on-site police and fire protection facilities. The airport also features unlimited free parking. The low landing fees and convenient access to the region’s highway system makes this airport an extremely cost-effective alternative to other Northern California airports.
