Established in 1971, National University is the second-largest private, accredited, and nonprofit institution of higher education in California. This university, affiliated with the National University System, specializes in adult education and accelerated learning. The university has campuses in California, Hawaii and Nevada. The main campus is based at San Diego, California. Academic centers are located in 11 major-metropolitan areas of California and on military bases throughout Southern California.
