Platt College is a comprehensive graphic art school based in San Diego, California. It offers graduate and diploma programs in a variety of graphic art disciplines, which include media arts, multimedia design, digital video production, and web design. Platt’s programs seek to hone its disciple’s talents in contemporary and traditional skills, meanwhile encouraging them to extend the horizons of their imagination and take it to a new level of creativity and fulfillment. Its curriculum has been designed to empower its students on an artistic perspective, so that they are better prepared to meet the future challenges of the dynamic and evolving entertainment market. The first Platt College was founded in St. Joseph, Missouri, in 1879. The San Diego campus was founded in 1980. It split from the Missouri school in 1985. As the enrollments started to climb in the late 1990s, a new and spacious campus became a necessity. Subsequently, to tackle the space crunch issue, the campus was expanded to 16,700 square feet to include new classes, library, administration area, and computer labs. Platt College San Diego and its educational programs are approved by the Bureau of Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education and the U.S. Department of Education. Platt College is just off of I-8 near San Diego State University.
