Founded in 1968, Ivy Tech Community College in the Wabash Valley Region in Terre Haute, Indiana is a statewide, open-access, community college, providing the residents of Indiana with professional, technical, transfer, and lifelong education, through quality educational programs and services. The college has a regional campus and numerous off-campus locations offering credit and non-credit courses. Accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, the college is a member of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, American Association of Community Colleges, American Association for Counseling and Development, and National Council on Student Development. Academic programs are offered in over 30 areas of study, such as, Accounting, Biotechnology, Computer Information Systems, Criminal Justice, Liberal Arts, Math and Science, Respiratory Care, and Surgical Technology. The courses lead to Associate of Applied Science Degrees, Associate of Science Degrees, and Technical Certificates. The college also provides continuing education, business and industry training, and other services through its corporate and community services area. The Martin Luther King Jr. Center, Sullivan Learning Center, and Shakamak High School are some of the off-campus sites used by the college. A degree in Business Administration and a certificate in Nursing (LPN) can be pursued through the college’s Greencastle Campus at 1 North Calbert Way in Greencastle. Further, the college provides facilities for distance education through the internet. Counseling services are also available.
